Industrial Zoning
Use of the existing planned industrial land of 198.30 hectares located in the Subang High Technology Industrial Park and SIME UEP Industrial Park will be maintained. The SIME UEP Industrial Area needs to be given special attention to encourage the establishment of new industrial activities on the 9.78 hectares of vacant lots. Research and development-oriented industrial activities as well as capital -intensive industries are encouraged. The 'enterprise' industry will be encouraged to develop in this area. Ongoing monitoring needs to be done on these vacant lots to avoid land use conflicts. Vacant industrial lots and spaces are allowed to be used for recreational and leisure activities as appropriate such as futsal courts, badminton and rock climbing.
Industrial activities located outside industrial areas such as the Central Sugar Refinery (CSR) sugar mill require monitoring measures to ensure that they do not create environmental impact conflicts to nearby residents. Therefore, this area will be upgraded into a planned industrial area. New development proposals and committed development shall be in accordance with the designated development zones.
